I lay here well past the witching hour
On the phone with my love, my greatest delight.
"I've talked enough, why don't you tell me a story now?"
My reply to you? "hmmmm...

It was then, that without warning,
She woke up and, as though it were morning
"make one up, daddy," she said with a yawn
And we laughed so damn hard... Dude, you'd have heard it on the lawn.
So I scratched at my chin and thought, thought, thought
But she killed all that with just a..... BAWK!!!
